Amidst the chaos of Supreme and Palace’s new drops in the fashion world, and also the road to Wrestlemania in the wrestling world – ECWCWWF have released their first collection of clothes, styled on the 90’s wrestling clothing.
The ‘Don’t Try This at Home’ collection recently dropped and was modelled by rapper and wrestling fan Ro Ransom. The name is a blend of the 3 biggest companies of the 90’s; ECW, WCW and WWF (the latter is now WWE and also bought out the other two promotions). The American company has featured wrestlers on their clothing including Sandman, the late Brian Pillman and The Undertaker. This release has really captured a lot of the fashion preferences going on at the moment and has blended them very well with wrestling.
Wrestling’s pinnacle popularity was back in the late 90’s to early 2000’s, when you had The Rock and Austin battle it out at multiple Wrestlemania’s. Alongside this, a host of other wrestlers like Mick Foley, Chris Jericho & Eddie Guerrero were all carving out names for themselves, and now it suddenly seems cool to wear wrestling merch again, with the 90’s wrestling t-shirt is coming back into fashion. Notable names like A$ton Matthews, Skepta and even Drake have been seen wearing them.
Is this a trend we’ll see continue with the release of this dope collection from ECWCWWF? We’ll have to wait and see, but for now make sure you go and buy something from the website here . Regardless of if you’re a wrestling fan, or a fashion fan or even both like me it’s well worth the money. Check out Ro Ransom’s modelling for the new range below.
